1ST BATXILLERAT ATTENDS LECTURE IN ENGLISH ON CRIME, FEAR OF CRIME & PUNISHMENT IN THE USA

Last Friday 4th, 1st Batxillerat students attended a lecture in English on Crime, Fear of Crime and Punishment in the USA by Professor Íñigo Ortiz de Urbina, visiting lecturer for Criminal Law and Criminology at the UPF and researcher at American Universities such as Harvard and New York.

This is the second lecture in English this year for Batxillerat students in preparation for a situation they will probably have to face once at university: attending classes or lectures in English.

The pupils were able to check their understanding of a whole session in English, they made a few questions and they were made to reflect on the differences between crime rates, fear of crime rates and punishment rates in the USA.
